PC Deployment & Migration Technician - Onsite

Genesis10 is currently seeking a PC Deployment & Migration Technician for a contract to hire position with a Major Insurance Company located in Springfield, MO. This is a 6 month contract to hire opportunity.

Compensation:  $29.00 - 32.00 per hour, W2

The PC Deployment & Migration Technician supports enterprise workstation migration and device deployment initiatives. This role is responsible for preparing, deploying, configuring, validating, and supporting laptops, desktop computers, peripherals, and related end-user technology. The technician will work directly with employees during migration events, workstation refreshes, and onboarding activities to ensure a smooth transition with minimal disruption to business operations.

Responsibilities:

• Deploy, configure, and support Windows laptops and desktop computers
• Perform workstation replacements and technology refresh activities
• Image, provision, configure, and validate new devices prior to deployment
• Migrate users to new laptops, including profile configuration, application setup, and connectivity verification
• Assist users with login issues, MFA enrollment, password resets, and workstation access
• Validate functionality of business applications after device deployment
• Support Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and other enterprise productivity tools
• Coordinate hardware distribution, collection, shipping, asset tracking, and inventory management activities
• Document deployment activities, issues, and resolutions within ServiceNow or designated ticketing systems
• Provide white-glove support to end users during migration events and scheduled cutovers
• Assist with printer, peripheral, docking station, monitor, and mobile device setup
• Support office relocation and site migration initiatives
• Maintain accurate asset management records and chain-of-custody documentation
• Escalate technical issues to engineering, endpoint management, or infrastructure teams as required
• Participate in migration planning, staging, and hypercare support activities

Requirements:

• 2 years of desktop support, field services, deployment, or workplace technology experience
• Experience deploying Windows 10/11 workstations
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, and multi-factor authentication
• Familiarity with laptop imaging, software deployment, and endpoint configuration
• Experience with ServiceNow or other ITSM platforms
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to lift and move computer equipment up to 50 pounds
• Ability to travel between office locations as needed

Desired skills:

• Experience supporting large-scale PC refresh or migration projects
• Experience with Microsoft Autopilot and Intune
• Knowledge of asset management and inventory control processes
• Experience supporting printer deployments and office technology rollouts
• CompTIA A , Microsoft certifications, or equivalent experience
• Experience working in enterprise environments with 500 users
