GENERAL SUMMARY:
This role provides efficient and reliable telephone and communication services for patients, visitors, and staff in a 24/7 healthcare communication center
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer phone calls for internal and external calls coming into the hospital and appropriately route to the proper destination.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic PC Skills
- Customer service skills
- 1 to 2 years' experience in high volume communication systems, emergency dispatch, preferably in a multi-site healthcare environment preferred.
- College course work in medical terminology and communications software applications preferred.
