Payrollee- Shipping Associate

Operate the pallet wrapper, forklift and pallet jack in a safe and appropriate manner abating safety hazards and abiding by guidelines/procedures established within the work environment. Load and unload truck shipments in a safe and efficient manner, which may require occasionally working in a confined space.

Local manufacturer in the organic soap industry is hiring a Shipping Associate! We are looking for a team player who has a friendly demeanor that can work in our warehouse.

This is a Temporary opportunity, with the possibility to go full-time.

• 1st shift – 6:30 AM to 3:10 PM – Monday through Friday
• Contract 3 months
• $25.88/hour
• High school diploma/ GED is required

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED - we will run a verification of employment!
• 2 years of experience working in a shipping department.
• Must possess/obtain forklift and pallet jack certifications. Additional in-house safety certifications must be completed.
• Must possess and maintain a valid California driver’s license including proof of personal vehicle insurance coverage and insurability under the Company’s insurance carrier standards.

Your Duties:

• Identify and relocate materials to production area for filling, labeling, and packaging of products with a pallet jack & forklift.
• Lift, carry, and count cases to fill orders.
• Organize and efficiently palletize cases to appropriate locations.
• Operate the pallet wrapper, forklift and pallet jack in a safe and appropriate manner abating safety hazards and abiding by guidelines/procedures established within the work environment.
• Load and unload truck shipments in a safe and efficient manner, which may require occasionally working in a confined space.
• Communicate necessary information and problems/complications to Shipping Manager.
• Maintain a clean, uncluttered, and orderly work area and space.
• May, on occasion, use company vehicle to transport supplies and materials to and from other warehouse or other locations as instructed.
