Position Overview
4 Corner Resources is seeking a detail-driven Payroll Wage Specialist to support a high-volume, compliance-focused payroll operation. This role ensures full compliance with the Davis-Bacon Act, state prevailing wage laws, and project-specific reporting requirements. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing certified payroll across multiple states for both union and non-union workforces. This is a lead-level role supporting 300+ active certified payroll (CPR) projects, requiring strong organization, accuracy, and the ability to manage competing deadlines across multiple projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and submit weekly Certified Payroll Reports (CPRs) across multiple states in compliance with federal, state, and local prevailing wage requirements
- Review CPR documentation, including Statements of Compliance, Wage and Hour Records, Deduction Records, and Fringe Benefit Records
- Ensure dates, signatures, employee classifications, project information, and supporting documentation are complete and compliant
- Verify employee pay based on applicable wage determinations, job classifications, fringe benefits, union requirements, and locality specific wage tables
- Audit payroll calculations, including project gross wages, weekly gross wages, approved deductions, fringe benefits, and net pay
- Research and resolve discrepancies, including missing payrolls, interview findings, proof of payment requests, and employee verification issues
- Manage reporting requirements and deadlines across 300+ active certified payroll projects
- Utilize certified payroll reporting systems such as LCPtracker, AASHTOWare, SkillSmart, DocExpress, eMars, Elations, and other state specific platforms
- Utilize Dayforce for payroll processing and reporting as the organization transitions to the platform
- Partner with internal teams, subcontractors, and compliance agencies to resolve issues and ensure timely, accurate submissions
Qualifications
- Hands on experience preparing and submitting Certified Payroll Reports across multiple states
- Strong knowledge of Davis Bacon Act requirements and state prevailing wage laws
- Hands on experience processing payroll for union and non union workforces
- Experience using electronic certified payroll reporting systems such as LCPtracker, AASHTOWare, SkillSmart, DocExpress, eMars, Elations, or similar platforms
- Ability to interpret wage determinations, job classifications, fringe benefit requirements, project specifications, and applicable regulations
- Proven ability to manage a high volume of certified payroll projects while balancing multiple deadlines and priorities
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify, research, and resolve payroll discrepancies
- Minimum of 2 years of payroll, certified payroll, or related administrative experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Fully onsite in Winter Park, FL
Compensation: $65,000 – $75,000 annually
