Payroll Tax Specialist
Location: Brooklyn, NY (In?Office, 5 Days/Week)

Salary Range: $87,500 $95,000 per year
Position Summary
Rainbow Shops is seeking a detail?oriented Payroll Tax Specialist to join our corporate team in Brooklyn, NY. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate payroll tax compliance across all applicable federal, state, and local jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will have strong payroll tax knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and experience working with payroll systems in a fast?paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and file payroll tax returns in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Ensure accurate payroll tax rates are applied for all applicable taxing jurisdictions
Review, audit, and reconcile payroll tax calculations and payment transmissions
Ensure payroll taxes are paid accurately and on a timely basis to all jurisdictions
Maintain and update state unemployment tax (SUTA) rates and wage base limits within the Lawson payroll system and ADP
Research and resolve payroll tax discrepancies and notices
Assist with payroll tax projects, audits, and other related initiatives as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
Prior experience with payroll tax processing and compliance
Working knowledge of multi?state payroll tax regulations
Experience with payroll systems such as Lawson and ADP preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast?paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Work Environment
In?office position (Brooklyn, NY) five days per week
