    Ready to make an impact beyond payroll processing? McLane Company is seeking a Payroll Systems Analyst who is passionate about technology, problem-solving, and process improvement. This role plays a key part in optimizing Workday Payroll and Time Tracking, partnering with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements, improve efficiency, and support payroll operations that serve teammates across the organization.

    Collaborate with Payroll, HRIS, People, IT&D, and Compensation teams to analyze and design changes or enhancements to payroll systems, primarily within Workday. Evaluate system changes, identify upstream and downstream impacts, troubleshoot payroll system issues, test configurations prior to production deployment, and provide ongoing support and training to corporate and field payroll users.

    This is an on-site position which will require the candidate to report and work from the office. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX.

    What You'll Do:

    • Partner with business stakeholders to evaluate and implement Workday Payroll and Time Tracking enhancements.
    • Analyze requested system changes and assess upstream and downstream impacts on payroll and related systems.
    • Troubleshoot payroll system issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
    • Configure, test, document, and validate approved Workday changes before implementation.
    • Perform thorough testing and regression testing to ensure system stability and accuracy.
    • Collaborate with Payroll, HRIS, HR, Compensation, and IT teams to maintain data integrity and drive process improvements.
    • Develop and maintain payroll system documentation, training materials, and procedures.
    • Provide support for payroll system questions, transactional inquiries, and issue resolution.
    • Create reports and analyze data using Workday, Excel, and other reporting tools to support business needs.
    • Assist payroll team members in expanding their Workday Payroll and Time Tracking knowledge.
    • Monitor and resolve open issues within established service levels.
    • Support field HR and payroll teams with system input, corrections, reporting, and troubleshooting requirements.

    What We're Looking For:

    • Bachelor''s degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, or a related field preferred; or three or more years of payroll experience, including Workday Payroll and/or Time Tracking experience.
    • Experience supporting payroll systems, including troubleshooting issues and implementing process improvements.
    • Strong understanding of payroll operations and system functionality.
    • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, reporting, and data analysis.
    • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Ability to evaluate system impacts, identify dependencies, and develop practical solutions.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
    • Project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
    • Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
    • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional support and service.
    • This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
