Oxford Solutions is working with a client seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist for a 6+ month contract opportunity. This is a remote position, with candidates located in the Pittsburgh, PA area highly preferred. Candidates must reside in the Eastern Time Zone.
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing across multiple states, including timekeeping review, payroll preparation, validation, and issue resolution.
Responsibilities:
- Process multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule
- Manage the complete payroll cycle from timekeeping through final payroll processing
- Review employee time and attendance data and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain payroll records and ensure accurate employee deductions, earnings, and adjustments
- Research and resolve payroll-related questions and processing issues
- Support payroll reconciliations, reporting, and compliance activities
- Work with HR, finance, and employees to address payroll-related matters
Requirements:
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience
- Demonstrated experience independently running complete payroll cycles
- Multi-state payroll experience required
- Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now required
- Strong knowledge of timekeeping and payroll processing procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict payroll deadlines
- Must reside within the Eastern Time Zone
- Pittsburgh, PA area candidates are highly preferred
