    Description

    Payroll Specialist

    The Payroll Specialist primarily responsible for ensuring accurate processing and recording of the company's payroll, provides timely and accurate financial information, participates in daily payroll processing tasks. Works closely with employees and the third-party software vendor to resolve all payroll related issues.

    This role is also responsible for purchasing, ordering supplies, entering POs, and entering invoices.

    Education & Experience:

    • Experience with ADP highly preferred.
    • High school diploma or GED, with 3 years' experience in payroll processing preferred.

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

    • Knowledge of payroll principles and procedures
    • Exceptionally strong ability to deal sensitively with confidential material and maintain absolute confidentiality.
    • Proficient using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook
    • Knowledge of computer-based payroll systems and financial programs, ADP preferred.
    • Ability to work independently, with initiative, and prioritize work assignments and manage time.
    • Ability to work as a team member in a cooperative, problem-solving manner.
    • Ability to analyze, evaluate and reconcile accounting data.
    • Analytical and problem-solving attitude.

    About Company

    Community Health Systems, Inc. is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) 330 HRSA Grantee with Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) status. Established from the roots of Inland Empire Community Health Center in Bloomington, CHSI has grown with community health centers in the counties of Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego. These centers have been developed in accordance with standards established for safety net providers by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA), the Public Health Service (PHS), and the Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC).

    As such, services are offered to the neediest in each community - the un-insured and under-insured, the working poor, those with limited ability to pay, the homeless, and the indigent. Services are provided at discounted (sliding fee scale) rates for those who qualify based on gross annual income and family size.
