Payroll Specialist

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our team!

Essential Responsibilities:

• Payroll process from beginning to end for 1600+ employees in ADP
• Assist in data entry, including new hires, terminations and merit increases within ADP
• Process commission payments (i.e. create files for upload through processing)
• Assist in preparing/review of manual checks for terminated employees (multi-states), within ADP
• Research employee payroll inquiries or answers ADP questions through the ticketing system
• Assist in Year-End processing of W2 and 1099's
• Provide reports to the accounting team
• Created routine bi-weekly Payroll uploads for ADP
• Assist with other special projects as required

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 to 2 years of Payroll / Human Resources experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in accounting or finance preferred
• ADP Time & Attendance system a plus
• Experience in processing within ADP Workforce Now a plus
• Great follow-through skills and good math and logic skills
• Great customer service mindset
• Attention to detail and analytical skills
• Organizational skills
• Flexibility and ability to multi-task and willingness to work overtime
• Problem-solving abilities

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Basic office skills and abilities, knowledge of standard office equipment and software including Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and ability and willingness to learn new and/or proprietary applications as required
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Interact with colleagues, team members, and other department staff, as well as management and executives in a professional office setting
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments under high pressure in a fast-paced environment
