Job Summary:
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for weekly union and non-union payroll cycles and serves as backup for semi-monthly payroll processing in UKG Ready and Viewpoint Vista. As well as generating certified payroll reports by creating and delivering relevant, accurate, and timely information to external agencies.

Essential Job Functions:
Process Weekly payroll for Union and non-union employeesReporting union fringe benefits monthly (as backup)Complete weekly Certified Payroll reporting and filing for companys Certified Payroll jobs in a timely and accurate manner and in compliance with Labor, State and local guidelines.Ensure that our company complies with Davis-Bacon and other related acts when requiredEnsure prevailing wage requirements are met and accurately reportedWork with Field Teams, assuring accuracy of information when approving weekly timecards and prevailing wage requirementsCoordinate with regions to identify upcoming certified payroll jobs and requirements using Viewpoint and SmartsheetsServe as a backup for the companys semi-monthly payroll processing through UKG ReadyRespond to employment verification requestsMaintain confidential payroll and employee information as well as data integrity within UKG ReadyMaintain accurate recordkeeping of payroll documentsAssist and support all internal and external audits related to payrollMaintain general office files in adherence to document retention policiesDevelop positive working relationships with internal and external constituents; exercising judgment when releasing employee information and utilizing sound and savvy customer service skills
Qualifications:
Experience with Certified Payroll reporting within the construction industry is preferredMust be Organized and self-motivated.Prior experience with payroll processing is required; UKG Ready experience preferred.Prior experience with Viewpoint is preferred but not requiredKnowledge of Davis-Bacon laws and prevailing wage is requiredKnowledge of LCP Tracker, Emars, and IDOL is preferred but not requiredTo successfully perform this job, the employee should possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills.Be detail-oriented and conscientiousThe employee must also be able to foster positive teamwork relationships with fellow employees.Use professionalism and ethical judgment in all areas of the position.
