Job Details

What You'll Be Doing

1. Own full-cycle, weekly in-house payroll from start to finish, including hours, overtime, deductions, adjustments, and tax withholdings.

2. Manage payroll tax compliance, including preparing and filing Forms 940 and 941, calculating FICA taxes, and ensuring accurate tax reporting and payments.

3. Own job costing and cost code analysis, ensuring labor costs are accurately allocated across projects.

4. Maintain, update, and manage cost codes to support accurate project costing and financial reporting.

5. Perform regular payroll reconciliations, research discrepancies, and resolve issues independently.

6. Handle workers' compensation payroll reporting, garnishments, and other payroll-related compliance requirements.

7. Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual payroll and job costing reports, providing visibility into labor costs and project expenses.

8. Identify opportunities to improve payroll accuracy, efficiency, and job costing processes.

9. Partner closely with the Controller on payroll reporting, labor cost analysis, and overall financial accuracy.





What You Need

3+ years of hands-on, in-house payroll processing experience, ideally in a manufacturing, construction, or other job-costing environment.

Able to commute to Torrance/Gardena, CA area

Experience preparing and filing IRS Forms 940 and 941, with a strong understanding of FICA taxes and payroll tax compliance.

Direct experience with job costing, labor cost allocation, and maintaining cost codes.
