Welcome to the Banta Unified School District, where we are proud of our long history in education. The district is one of the oldest districts in the county, having been founded to serve area students in the late 1800s. Through the years, Banta has remained a small K-8 school district focused on meeting the needs of its diverse student population. As our district evolves we continue to adapt in order to best prepare our students for the future. Under the direction of the Fiscal Manager, performs specialized payroll functions for certificated and classified employees. Responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing, payroll records, deductions, retirement reporting, tax reporting, and related payroll activities.

Requirements / Qualifications
Equivalent of the completion of the twelfth grade, supplemented by course work or training in payroll or general accounting obtained through a community college, trade, or correspondence school. May be substituted by experience of a closely related nature. Three years of increasingly responsible payroll/accounting experience.
