    Position Summary

    PJ United, one of the largest Papa Johns franchise organizations in the country, is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team. This position is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of biweekly payroll for more than 4,000 team members across nine states.


    The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-service focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines. This role requires professionalism, confidentiality, and a commitment to delivering outstanding support to our team members.


    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Process and audit biweekly payroll for over 4,000 employees.
    • Prepare and process monthly bonus payrolls and other special payroll runs as needed.
    • Review payroll data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies.
    • Generate and distribute recurring payroll reports.
    • Process garnishments, child support orders, and other payroll deductions.
    • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from team members and management.
    • Coordinate closely with Human Resources and Accounting to ensure payroll accuracy.
    • Prepare ACH requests and check requests for Accounting.
    • Process payroll-related tax deposits and maintain payroll records.
    • Perform payroll account reconciliations and general ledger balancing.
    • Assist with audits, reporting requirements, and special projects.
    • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and company information.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Required

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience.
    • Strong knowledge of payroll practices, payroll taxes, garnishments, and deductions.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

    Preferred

    • Experience with Great Plains Payroll (Dynamics GP).
    • Experience with payroll reporting and report-writing tools.
    • Multi-state payroll experience.
    • General ledger reconciliation experience.
