Were looking for a Payroll Services Coordinator who pairs deep prevailing wage expertise with the drive to make payroll systems work smarter. In this role, youll own Davis-Bacon and prevailing wage processes from setup through reporting, while helping improve how payroll data, workflows, and tools support the business. Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned): Own prevailing wage and Davis-Bacon payroll processes end to end, including job setup, wage determinations, fringe and federal sick pay requirements, ongoing compliance, and Certified Payroll reporting. Set up and maintain prevailing wage projects, classifications, rates, and compliance requirements in JD Edwards Oracle EnterpriseOne, eMars, and related systems. Process weekly and monthly payroll, payroll adjustments, labor corrections, and burden allocations accurately and on time. Prepare, review, and submit Certified Payroll reports and related documentation with accuracy and consistency. Resolve payroll discrepancies, tax issues, garnishments, child support orders, and multi-state/local payroll matters, communicating outcomes clearly to employees and stakeholders. Serve as a subject matter resource for prevailing wage, Davis-Bacon, and certified payroll requirements across the business. Support payroll tax reconciliation, audit requests, and compliance documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Build, improve, and maintain payroll reports, data validations, and recurring analysis to strengthen accuracy, visibility, and decision-making. Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks, streamline workflows, and improve payroll processes using Excel, Alteryx, reporting tools, and other technology. Partner with payroll, accounting, operations, HR, IT, and project teams to test enhancements, solve issues, and improve payroll-related processes. Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, information systems, or a related field. 4+ years of payroll, accounting, or related experience. 2+ years of direct prevailing wage and Davis-Bacon payroll experience. Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local prevailing wage requirements, certified payroll reporting, and payroll compliance practices. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and data analysis. Strong systems aptitude and comfort learning new tools, platforms, and integrations quickly. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail. Clear communication skills and a service mindset when supporting employees and internal teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Experience Experience with JD Edwards Oracle EnterpriseOne. Experience with eMars or similar certified payroll reporting platforms. Experience with Alteryx, Power BI, SQL, Tableau, or similar reporting and automation tools. General contracting or heavy civil construction industry payroll experience. Experience supporting payroll system enhancements, testing, implementation, or process improvement initiatives.
