Seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee accurate and timely payroll processing while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This position will manage payroll operations, resolve payroll issues, maintain records, and work closely with HR and Finance to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely employee payments.
  • Supervise, train, and support payroll staff while ensuring proper workload distribution and accountability.
  • Maintain strong payroll controls, procedures, and approval processes to ensure accuracy and prevent errors.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, tax, and labor regulations.
  • Review payroll reports, reconciliations, deductions, garnishments, benefits, and tax withholdings.
  • Manage payroll tax filings, year-end processing, W-2s, and other required payroll documentation.
  • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee questions, and system-related issues.
  • Coordinate closely with HR, Finance, and Accounting regarding payroll changes, reporting, and reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure proper documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, systems, controls, and overall efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
  • 5+ years of direct payroll experience
  • Background in managing other payroll professionals
  • Paycom knowledge
  • Multi-State wage and hour experience
