Position Summary
The Payroll Manager is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. This role manages payroll operations using ADP Workforce Now and serves as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries. This position does not require direct supervisory responsibilities but requires strong ownership of payroll processes and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Process full-cycle payroll (weekly, bi-weekly, and/or semi-monthly) using ADP Workforce Now
Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and taxes
Maintain and reconcile payroll records, reports, and general ledger entries
Administer payroll-related changes including new hires, terminations, and compensation updates
Manage garnishments, benefit deductions, and tax withholdings in compliance with regulations
Ensure timely and accurate filing of payroll taxes and year-end reporting (W-2s, etc.)
Audit payroll data regularly to identify and resolve discrepancies
Serve as the primary contact for employee payroll questions and issue resolution
Partner with HR and Accounting teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll laws and regulatory changes
Support payroll system enhancements, reporting, and process improvements
Qualifications
4+ years of payroll experience, including full-cycle processing
Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now required
Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll laws and tax regulations
Experience reconciling payroll to the general ledger
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
