Payroll Manager / Senior Payroll Specialist
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced payroll professional to join a growing organization. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in high-volume, multi-state payroll processing who enjoys leading teams, improving processes, and ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities
Process and oversee large-volume, multi-state payroll operations.
Lead, mentor, and support a team of payroll specialists.
Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Review payroll data, wage calculations, tax withholdings, benefits deductions, and employee records.
Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll inquiries.
Maintain payroll records and prepare payroll-related reports.
Partner with HR, Benefits, and Finance teams to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
Assist with year-end processing, audits, and payroll tax reporting.
Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiencies.
Qualifications
Associate's degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of 2+ years of payroll experience in a dedicated payroll environment.
Experience processing large-volume, multi-state payroll required.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience managing payroll staff highly preferred.
Experience with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Experience
High-volume payroll processing for mid-sized to large organizations.
Supervising or mentoring payroll specialists.
Payroll tax filings, audits, and reconciliations.
Continuous process improvement and payroll system enhancements.
Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
