Payroll Manager / Senior Payroll Specialist

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced payroll professional to join a growing organization. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in high-volume, multi-state payroll processing who enjoys leading teams, improving processes, and ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Process and oversee large-volume, multi-state payroll operations.

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of payroll specialists.

  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Review payroll data, wage calculations, tax withholdings, benefits deductions, and employee records.

  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll inquiries.

  • Maintain payroll records and prepare payroll-related reports.

  • Partner with HR, Benefits, and Finance teams to ensure data accuracy and compliance.

  • Assist with year-end processing, audits, and payroll tax reporting.

  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiencies.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 2+ years of payroll experience in a dedicated payroll environment.

  • Experience processing large-volume, multi-state payroll required.

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience managing payroll staff highly preferred.

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Experience

  • High-volume payroll processing for mid-sized to large organizations.

  • Supervising or mentoring payroll specialists.

  • Payroll tax filings, audits, and reconciliations.

  • Continuous process improvement and payroll system enhancements.

Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
