This position is responsible for supervising the NOAM regional payroll business service team to ensure accurate delivery of payroll. The Company's NOAM payroll objectives are to use a shared service delivery model to ensure our in-house team makes accurate and timely payments of all pay to employees, make payroll deductions for taxes, statutory payments, benefits, and other items to respective parties and meet all regulatory payroll related filing requirements. In addition, this individual will participate in the development, implementation, updating and monitoring of a standard set of internal controls over NOAM's region payroll processes to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data related to the payroll function, the protection of Company assets, and the privacy of employee data. Furthermore, this position is also responsible to monitor and make certain the Company is in compliance with all current and future payroll laws and regulations for each Country within the region.

This position is not hybrid/remote and will be located at our Hinckley Parkway location in Cleveland, OH.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5+ years experience with knowledge of all aspects of payroll processes and related systems, including garnishments, benefits, taxes, time & attendance collection for multiple countries (regional exposure).

  • Prior supervisory experience

  • Experience reviewing regulatory publications, understand technical terminology and easily determine the effect pending and/or newly enacted legislation will have on current Department procedures.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future for employment visa status

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related business administration
  • Project management experience
  • Ceridian Dayforce system experience
  • Additional language skills would be an advantage
  • Experience working for a global and diverse company

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, and that all payroll deductions (including taxes, statutory payments, benefits, and other obligations) are processed and remitted to appropriate parties in compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Lead, develop, and mentor payroll team members, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.

  • Drive process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for automation, standardization, and operational efficiency to enhance payroll accuracy, scalability, and service delivery.

  • Partner closely with HR, Finance, Tax, Legal, and external vendors to ensure seamless payroll operations and alignment with organizational objectives. Serve as an escalation point for complex payroll matters and provide subject matter expertise.

  • Oversee payroll systems and vendor relationships, ensuring optimal system performance, data integrity, and adherence to service level agreements.

  • Design, implement, maintain, and monitor a standardized framework of internal controls across NOAM payroll processes to ensure the accuracy and completeness of payroll-related financial data, the protection of Company assets, and the confidentiality of employee information.

  • Lead internal and external audits related to payroll, ensuring timely resolution of findings and continuous strengthening of controls and compliance processes.

  • Ensure compliance with all current and emerging payroll laws and regulations across each country within the region, proactively monitoring legislative changes and implementing required updates.

  • Deliver payroll metrics, reporting, and analytics to leadership, providing insights that support decision-making, operational transparency, and continuous improvement.

  • Lead payroll-related change initiatives, including system implementations, regulatory updates, and organizational changes, ensuring effective execution and minimal disruption to operations.

  • Ensure a high standard of service delivery by maintaining responsiveness to employee and stakeholder inquiries, contributing to a positive employee experience.

  • Maintain payroll business continuity and contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted payroll processing under all circumstances.
