Our client is a growing organization looking to add a Payroll Manager to its Charlotte team. This person will own a complex weekly payroll environment supporting approximately 450 employees across union, non-union and salaried populations.

The position currently sits within HR but may eventually transition into Accounting/Finance, creating an opportunity for someone who brings both strong payroll expertise and an accounting foundation.

Job Details

The Payroll Manager will oversee the accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll for approximately 450 employees using UKG. The employee population includes union, non-union and salaried employees, creating a payroll environment with varying pay structures, frequent exceptions and union-specific requirements.

This person will take ownership of the weekly payroll process, research and resolve discrepancies, maintain compliance and ensure employees are paid correctly and on time. The Payroll Manager will work closely with HR and Finance leadership and may also support payroll-related accounting activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close and financial reporting.
