    Description

    The Payroll Director is responsible for overseeing and managing all payroll operations across multiple healthcare facilities. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with federal and state regulations, payroll tax reporting, and efficient payroll system management while supporting employees and facility leadership teams.
     
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Oversee payroll operations for multiple skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and assisted living facilities
    • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for salaried, hourly, PRN, and contract employees
    • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and labor laws
    • Manage payroll tax filings, garnishments, deductions, and benefit reconciliations
    • Supervise and mentor payroll staff while promoting accuracy and accountability
    • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and facility leadership regarding payroll-related matters
    • Audit payroll records, timekeeping systems, overtime, and attendance reports
    • Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, PTO policies, and payroll procedures
    • Assist with payroll system implementations, upgrades, and process improvements
    • Prepare payroll reports, analytics, and labor cost summaries for executive leadership
    • Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll concerns in a timely manner
     
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred
    • Minimum 5+ years of payroll management experience, preferably in healthcare or multi-site operations
    • Previous leadership or director-level payroll experience preferred
    • Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and labor compliance
    • Experience with payroll software and HRIS systems
    • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification preferred
