• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 6 months
• Pay Rate: $35.71 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM ET; hybrid schedule rotating 2 days onsite one week / 3 days onsite the following week

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Design & FLSA Testing Consultant to support payroll compliance, process design, requirements gathering, and testing activities. The consultant will work with Payroll, HR, Time & Attendance, Finance, and vendor teams to assess requirements, design payroll solutions, validate calculations, and support payroll transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and document payroll business requirements and process designs.
• Review and enhance payroll processes, controls, and governance.
• Analyze impacts to FLSA overtime, regular rate calculations, bonuses, premium pay, and payroll compliance requirements.
• Support payroll design activities related to:

- Earnings and deductions - Time integration requirements - Payroll interfaces and data flows - Wage type and earnings code design - Payroll controls and compliance requirements - Payroll operational procedures and handoffs

• Develop process flows, business requirements documents (BRDs), and functional specifications.
• Create and execute payroll test plans, test scripts, and validation scenarios.
• Lead System Testing, UAT, Parallel Testing, and payroll reconciliations.
• Track testing defects and coordinate resolution with internal and vendor teams.
• Support payroll transformation, optimization, and automation initiatives.

Required Experience

• 3 4 years of payroll design, payroll implementation, or payroll testing experience.
• Experience gathering payroll requirements and documenting future-state processes.
• Experience supporting payroll system implementations or enhancements.
• Strong payroll testing and reconciliation experience.
• Experience working with ADP GlobalView, Workday, SAP Payroll, or similar platforms.

Nice-to-Have Experience

• Payroll transformation and process engineering initiatives.
• Global payroll environments.
• Payroll integrations with HR, Time & Attendance, Benefits, or Finance systems.
• Payroll automation and continuous improvement projects.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of FLSA, overtime regulations, and payroll compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• CPP certification preferred.

Education Requirements

• BA Degree preferred; HS Diploma acceptable with extensive years of experience.
