Location: Jersey Village, TX

Pay Rate: $30.00 per hour

Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Experience Requirements

  • 1-2 years of general business experience, preferably with a focus on payroll, human resources, or employee administration.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing, timekeeping, employee records, HR practices, and employment regulations.
  • Experience with HRIS, payroll systems, database management, and Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
  • ADP payroll experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, confidentiality, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond professionally to employee and manager questions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or office administration experience is preferred.
  • Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or similar business systems is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles, financial recordkeeping, or reconciliation procedures is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate professionalism, dependability, accuracy, and strong organizational skills are well positioned for success as a Payroll Coordinator.
  • Payroll Practitioner / Human Resources Assistant

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to remain seated and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to regularly use a computer, keyboard, telephone, and other standard office equipment.
  • Ability to review and enter detailed information accurately throughout the workday.
  • Ability to perform standard office duties in a 100% onsite work environment.

Job Duties

  • Process payroll transactions, including wages, overtime, deductions, adjustments, and other payroll payments.
  • Review timesheets, investigate payroll discrepancies, and maintain accurate employee payroll records.
  • Track PTO, FMLA, STD, and other employee leave and maintain confidential personnel files.
  • Maintain HRIS and employee databases, process HR and payroll forms, and support benefits administration.
  • Assist with staffing coordination, employee relations, employment verifications, and routine HR inquiries.
  • Prepare HR reports, assist with audits and payroll system testing, and support HR projects and process improvements.
  • Communicate HR policies and updates to employees, supervisors, managers, and leadership as directed.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality while handling employee, payroll, HR, and organizational information.
  • Work Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 pm in a 100% onsite position.
