We are seeking an Interim Payroll Compliance / Equity Compensation Consultant for our client to provide immediate support to its payroll function. This consultant will bring strong payroll compliance and multi-state tax experience, serve as a senior resource for complex payroll issues, support an upcoming equity compensation system implementation, and help the organization evaluate its longer-term payroll structure and resource needs.
Attributes:
- Strong payroll compliance and payroll tax experience required
- Significant multi-state payroll experience, including employee relocations and state/local withholding issues
- Ability to research and resolve complex, non-routine payroll compliance matters
- Experience with W-2 corrections and other payroll reporting issues
- Equity compensation and RCA-related payroll/tax experience strongly preferred
- Prior industry-side experience within a corporate payroll, accounting, tax, or HR environment
- Ability to serve as a senior sounding board to payroll and accounting leadership
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
- Payroll or equity compensation system implementation experience is a plus
- Hands-on payroll processing experience is helpful, but this is not primarily a payroll-processing role
- Senior-level payroll compliance experience preferred
