Work schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Onsite)
Overview:
The Payroll Clerk administers all functions of the time and attendance payroll system for a union workforce, ensuring accurate payroll processing through the reconciliation of employee hours, incentive pay, and production data. This role collaborates closely with supervisors, operations, and Human Resources to maintain compliance with union agreements, employment policies, and benefits practices while supporting basic accounting and administrative tasks.
Job Specifications:
- Manage daily payroll operations within ADP eTime, including inputting, reviewing, and clearing timecard exceptions.
- Collaborate with supervisors and operators to verify employee hours, production data, and incentive pay.
- Reconcile daily payroll and production summaries to align timekeeping and manufacturing systems.
- Enter and maintain production data across time, attendance, and manufacturing systems.
- Prepare shift summaries, maintain detailed tracking spreadsheets, and generate/distribute operational reports.
- Track, document, and process approved payroll adjustments and resolve employee pay or timecard discrepancies.
- Partner with HR to ensure adherence to union contracts, benefits practices, and the reconciliation of union dues payments.
- Conduct regular payroll audits to ensure accuracy, compliance, and process integrity.
- Support process improvements, document internal workflows, and train team members on payroll system usage.
- Execute general administrative and basic accounting tasks as needed (e.g., label printing, static record reviews).
- Experience & Skills: 1+ years of experience with ADP eTime or similar payroll/timekeeping systems; 1+ years of experience working in a union environment; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data tracking, reconciliation, reporting); experience in a manufacturing environment and exposure to SAP preferred; strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in accounting, business, or a related field preferred.
