We expect to fill this role in late May or early June. \n \nThe Opportunity\n \nThe Payroll & Benefits Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring our people are paid accurately, fairly, and on time-while overseeing the financial integrity of payroll, compensation, incentives, and benefits. And you'll be empowered to improve how we serve our employees every day.\n \nWho You Are\n \nYou're known for being:\n\n Principled, precise, and trustworthy\n \n\n A problem-solver who loves clean data and reconciled accounts\n \n\n Tech-savvy and curious about better systems and processes\n \n\n Comfortable explaining complex payroll and benefits topics clearly\n \n\n Organized, adaptable, and able to juggle multiple deadlines-with a sense of humor\n \n\n \nWhat You'll Do\n \nPayroll & Compliance\n\n Process end-to-end biweekly payroll with accuracy and timeliness\n \n\n Ensure compliance with FLSA, ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and 401(k) regulations\n \n\n Reconcile payroll accounts, taxes, and year-end reporting\n \n\n Serve as the primary liaison with payroll vendors and Accounting\n \n\n \nCompensation & Incentives\n\n Maintain pay data, job classifications, and compensation records\n \n\n Conduct pay benchmarking and compensation analysis\n \n\n Calculate and audit incentive and commission payouts\n \n\n Support annual compensation planning and reporting\n \n\n \n401(k) & Benefits Financial Administration\n\n Manage 401(k) enrollments, deductions, matches, and audits\n \n\n Reconcile self-funded health plan expenses and TPA invoices\n \n\n Prepare financial and compliance reports for leadership\n \n\n \nReporting & Continuous Improvement\n\n Deliver accurate payroll, compensation, and benefits reporting\n \n\n Identify opportunities to automate and streamline processes\n \n\n Support audits and People Operations initiatives that improve employee experience\n \n\n \nWhat You Bring\n\n 5+ years of experience in payroll, compensation, or benefits administration\n \n\n Certified Payroll Specialist (desired)\n \n\n Strong working knowledge of payroll systems and HRIS platforms (UKG or similar)\n \n\n Advanced Excel and reporting skills\n \n\n Absolute discretion and sound professional judgment\n \n\n \nWhy Woodard\n\n Purpose-driven work that directly supports our employees\n \n\n A People Operations team that values accuracy, collaboration, and growth\n \n\n* A culture built on doing what's right, serving others, and learning every day\n \n\n \nBecause of the nature of our work and the clients we serve, Woodard conducts background checks on candidates being considered for employment.
