    Description

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for assisting with the preparation and processing of weekly and biweekly payrolls for over 300 employees; review and ensure accuracy of approved timesheets
    • Track and deduct all garnishments, pay levies, and other special payroll deductions
    • Administration of the electronic timekeeping system, monitor submissions of approved timesheets, ensure valid data transfers to/from payroll software
    • Review payroll changes for proper authorization and adherence to Fairlead policy including compliance with federal/state/local regulations
    • Assist in processing the filing of weekly, monthly and quarterly payroll taxes and payroll deductions.
    • Assist with weekly AP processing and yearly W-2 preparation
    • Prepare GL reconciliations/journal entries weekly and monthly
    • Process HSA uploads and 401k weekly submissions
    • Assist in preparation for 401k yearly audit, workman's compensation yearly audit, and state act audit

    Qualifications:

    • Associate Degree in Business Administration/Finance required, Accounting Degree preferred
    • 2+ years of payroll experience required
    • Strong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll accounting system
    • Costpoint experience preferred
    • Microsoft office and excel at intermediate to advanced level
    • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with employees regarding issues and concerns
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
    • Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure
    • A motivated individual who is looking to grow their career in the accounting field
    • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
