    Description

    The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for processing multi-state payroll, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring accuracy and compliance across all payroll functions. This role will work closely with HR, Accounting, and Finance to support timely and accurate payroll delivery and reporting.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Process bi-weekly/semi-monthly payroll for multi-state employee population using ADP Workforce Now
    • Review and audit payroll data for accuracy, including new hires, terminations, wage changes, tax withholdings, garnishments, and benefit deductions
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and wage and hour laws
    • Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies in coordination with HR and Accounting
    • Prepare and process off-cycle payroll runs, bonuses, and commission payments as needed
    • Maintain payroll records and documentation in accordance with company policy and legal requirements
    • Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and tax withholdings
    • Support year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation and reconciliation
    • Assist with payroll journal entries and reconciliations in partnership with the Accounting team
    • Stay current on payroll tax law changes and ensure system updates are implemented timely
    • Identify and support process improvements and system optimization within ADP Workforce Now
    • Assist with internal and external audits related to payroll

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
    • 2-5+ years of payroll processing experience, including multi-state payroll
    • Strong hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now required
    • Working knowledge of payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and general payroll compliance
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, SUMIFS)
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
    • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with HR and Accounting

    Preferred Attributes

    • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) designation a plus
    • Experience supporting a growing or multi-entity organization
    • Familiarity with benefits administration and its intersection with payroll a plus
