Job Posting

Duties include coordinating with departments to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll; researching and resolving payroll issues; developing procedures to reconcile payroll and maintain the integrity of the HRIS database; and processing employee status changes, check requests, mandatory withholdings and pay adjustments. Additional duties include generating and distributing HRIS management reports, preparing W-2s, and training department timekeepers. An Associate degree or equivalent and five years of progressively responsible experience in payroll administration or related accounting functions are required, including at least one year of supervisory or lead-role experience. CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) designation and experience with municipal payroll systems, labor agreements and government payroll regulations are preferred, but not required. Must have a minimum of three years of experience processing payroll for 2,000 employees or more, be proficient with spreadsheets, and have experience with MS Office. A résumé must be submitted with the application.
