Requires limited work directionResponsibilities:Process and analyze time, earnings, and deductions/withholdings on a weekly basis to derive accurate net pay in compliance with union contracts and Human Resource/unit policiesIndependently analyze and resolve complex payroll issuesCommunicate with employees of various levels regarding pay questions, processes, and trainingBuild and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with peers, unit partners, and other functional areasProduce accurate reports for others by collecting data from a variety of standard sources and inputting it into standard formatsUse data management systems to access specific information as and when requiredCreate a local document management system for an office or departmentPrepare moderately complex documents using a variety of applications for technology devices, such as standard office software.
