Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Payment Technology Developer with strong expertise in Global Payments Plus (GPP) Wire to support the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise payment applications. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, payment operations, compliance, and technology teams to deliver secure, high-performance payment solutions for domestic and international wire processing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support GPP Wire payment applications.
  • Customize and configure GPP components based on business requirements.
  • Develop interfaces between GPP and upstream/downstream banking systems.
  • Implement payment workflows for Fedwire, CHIPS, SWIFT, and ISO 20022 messaging.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Participate in application releases, deployments, and production support.
  • Develop APIs, batch processes, and middleware integrations.
  • Work with business analysts to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with banking regulations, security standards, and audit requirements.
  • Prepare technical documentation, unit test cases, and deployment documentation.
  • Support performance tuning and system optimization.

  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with RTP and FedNow payment processing.

Responsibilities During Production Support

  • Monitor payment processing.
  • Resolve high-priority production incidents.
  • Analyze payment failures and transaction exceptions.
  • Coordinate with payment operations teams.
  • Participate in on-call support rotation.
  • Support disaster recovery and release activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7 12 years of software development experience.
  • 4+ years working on GPP Wire or enterprise payment platforms.
  • Experience working in U.S. banking or financial services.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skills.

Nice-to-Have

  • Knowledge of ACH, RTP, FedNow, and payment hubs.
  • Experience with payment platform migration or modernization.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Understanding of banking security and regulatory requirements.
