In our time of Company growth, we are seeking a Payment Posting Specialist.

Work Location: Bradenton, FL

As part of this role, you will:

• Post insurance and patient payments (EOBs, ERAs, checks, credit cards)
• Accurately apply contractual adjustments and denials
• Balance daily deposits and reconcile batches
• Identify and escalate posting discrepancies
• Maintain productivity and accuracy standards
• Review explanation of benefits (EOBs) and remittance advice to ensure accurate payment posting.
• Work on unapplied and unidentified cash
• Ensure proper allocation of payments across accounts
• Communicate with Billing/AR teams regarding posting issues
• Maintain posting logs and audit trails
• Assist with month-end closing activities
• · High School Graduate or GED
• · Must be able to organize data for easy retrieval
• · Knowledge of EOB/ERA interpretation
• · 1+ year of payment posting or medical billing experience
• · Experience with practice management systems
• · Must have working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding (minimum 2 years)
• · Must have working knowledge of Managed Care, Government Payers, and Private Payers
• · Must have experience and/or education in computer data entry
• · Must be able to work with minimal supervision
• · Must have working knowledge of computers, calculators, and typewriters
• · Must be well organized
• · Must be able to meet deadlines and complete assignments weekly
• · Must be courteous, helpful, and maintain patient confidentiality

The Payment Posting Specialist is responsible for accurately and efficiently posting payments, adjustments, denials, and contractual allowances received from insurance companies, government payers, and patients into the organization's practice management and electronic health record (EHR) systems. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity of patient accounts, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting the organization's revenue cycle operations. The Specialist provides training to staffed clinicians as assigned and assists the Supervisor and other departmental personnel as needed.
