Position Title: Paycheck Courier (Part-Time)

Schedule: Fridays Only (Approx. 4- 8 Hours / Week)

Compensation: $22-25 + Mileage Reimbursement

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly trustworthy, reliable, and punctual Paycheck Courier to manage the weekly transportation of physical payroll checks. This position requires working approximately 4 hours every Friday, picking up paper checks from our Hayward branch and securely delivering them to designated company sites across our Hayward, Manteca, and Napa territories.

Due to the sensitive nature of financial documents, candidates must have background experience in Law Enforcement, Banking, or as a Bonded Courier.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick-up & Transfer: Collect sealed payroll check packets every Friday morning from the designated branch office.
• Secure Delivery: Transport physical checks directly to company job/office sites in a timely and secure manner following pre-established routes.
• Chain of Custody: Obtain authorized recipient signatures at each site to maintain a clear, verifiable chain of custody log.
• Confidentiality: Safeguard sensitive employee financial information and paper assets against loss or unauthorized access.
• Reporting: Maintain regular communication with management and promptly report any route disruptions or unforeseen delays.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Background Experience: Must have verifiable experience in at least one of the following:
• • Law Enforcement/ Military: Active, retired, or reserve law enforcement officer, military service member, or credentialed security professional.
  • Banking: Experience in bank operations, teller administration, or cash management handling negotiable financial instruments.
  • Bonded Courier: Prior background as a bonded or licensed courier handling high-value/sensitive items.
• Licensing & Vehicle: Valid Driver’s License with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR), plus a safe, reliable vehicle with current registration and insurance.
• Trustworthiness & Integrity: High personal standards of accountability, discretion, and reliability.
• Screening: This position requires a post-offer criminal background check and driving record check as a condition of employment.

Schedule & Working Conditions

• Workday: Fridays only (typically morning to mid-day).
• Hours: ~4-8 hours per week.
• Travel: Local driving between designated branch and site locations (mileage reimbursed at standard IRS rates).
