Pay ranges from $37.66-$49.59/hr per hour and includes an excellent benefits package. DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS We’re looking for candidates who: - Recognize dangerous situations and act decisively to protect people and property
- Demonstrate strong mental alertness and observational skills
- Communicate clearly—whether in court, in writing, with the public, or over radio equipment
- Engage effectively with individuals who are emotionally distressed or seriously injured
- Speak clearly over police radio and other electronic transmission equipment
- Make sound decisions quickly when faced with multiple options
- Retain and recall factual information related to laws, statutes, and codes
- Approach the public with fairness, compassion, and professionalism
- Operate a motor vehicle safely at high speeds and in all weather conditions
- Maintain conduct, on and off duty, that reflects community and professional standards
- Work Schedule and Availability: Must be able to work the established Patrol Officer schedule, which consists of 10-hour shifts, a four-day workweek, and assigned rotations of Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday. The position requires availability to work holidays and overtime as necessary to meet operational needs.
