Patient Services Representative
Santa Barbara, CA - Onsite 


Schedule: 5:45 AM-2:15 PM 
Company Provides all Equipment

SUMMARY / DUTIES:
  • The Patient Services Representative II serves as the first point of contact for patients entering an outpatient medical facility.
  • Responsibilities include greeting and checking in patients, verifying demographic and other required information, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation.
  • The representative supports intake activities by assisting with healthcare and insurance forms and collecting payments for services.
  • This role requires clear, professional communication with patients, families, support groups, and healthcare providers while maintaining confidentiality and patient safety.
  • The position follows organizational policies and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Additional duties may include completing department-specific administrative tasks and assisting with the orientation of other staff.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience with outpatient patient service or front-desk workflows.
  • Experience with patient greeting, registration, check-in, and information verification.
  • Experience with appointment scheduling and updating Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
  • Ability to facilitate patient intake, including healthcare and insurance forms.
  • Ability to collect and process patient payments for services.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, support groups, and healthcare providers.
  • Ability to maintain patient privacy and follow organizational, local, state, and federal requirements.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience with Revenue Cycle workflows.
  • Experience in an outpatient medical facility.
  • Experience supporting or orienting department staff.
  • Proficiency in coordinating multiple patient-facing administrative activities.
