Patient Service Representative

Job Summary
The Patient Service Representative will serve as a key point of contact for patients and support the daily operations of the front office. This person will help create a positive patient experience by answering phones, scheduling appointments, assisting with patient questions, and supporting treatment plan coordination and financial arrangements.
Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or GED
Experience answering telephones in a professional setting
Strong customer service and communication skills
Preferred:
Experience in a dental, medical, or other healthcare office
Familiarity with insurance plans, including HMO and PPO
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and dismissal
Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
Schedule, confirm, and maintain patient appointments
Follow up on missed appointments and cancellations
Assist with patient check-in and front desk documentation
Post charges and payments to patient accounts
Check and return voicemail messages daily
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
Support office staff and management with additional administrative tasks as needed
Provide excellent customer service while communicating clearly and professionally with patients and team members
