Description

An ambulatory care center is seeking a Patient Services Representative in Brooklyn, NY to support front desk, patient intake, scheduling, and registration functions in a high-volume medical setting. The role is focused on delivering professional customer service, maintaining accurate records, and supporting a smooth patient experience.

About the Opportunity:

  • Shift: Day shift
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday
  • Hours: 7:30am to 3:30pm
  • Setting: Ambulatory care center

Responsibilities:

  • Answer telephones professionally and provide courteous assistance to patients and visitors.
  • Check in patients, verify forms, and accurately enter registration information into electronic systems.
  • Collect demographic, financial, and insurance information and maintain data accuracy.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, coordinate diagnostic tests, and support patient flow in the waiting area.
  • Process referrals, prior authorizations, and routine front desk clerical tasks while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of clerical or service experience, preferably in a medical environment.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • EMR experience.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA guidelines.
  • Experience with registration, billing, or electronic scheduling systems.

Desired Skills:

  • Bilingual (English and Cantonese or Mandarin)
  • Experience in a high-volume medical setting.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and medical office systems.
