Patient Service Representative - Okatie (SC, Okatie)

JOB SUMMARY:

The Radiation Oncology Patient Service Representative serves as the front desk registrar for Radiation Oncology and is responsible for validating the completeness and accuracy of patient account information. This role obtains all required consents, verifies insurance coverage and authorizations, and explains Beaufort Memorial Hospital (BMH) policies to patients as needed. The Patient Service Representative responds promptly to patient inquiries, greets patients upon arrival to BMH Radiation Oncology, initiates the registration process, and directs patients and visitors to the appropriate individual or department for assistance. The registrar is expected to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism, uphold the behavioral standards and mission of Beaufort Memorial Hospital, and maintain a strong work ethic. This position is an integral member of the Radiation Oncology team and is expected to support both BMH Radiation Oncology departments. Flexibility with work location is required while maintaining a primary assigned location
