Job Summary:

The Patient Service Representative assists in processing referrals for Managed Care clients, communicating information to patients and facilitating flow of data to providers.  Processes forms for insurance companies, provides record keeping, and serves as a resource to providers and other office staff.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Communicates referral information to patients and provides associated record-keeping.
Facilitates communication with providers regarding referrals. 
Processes required forms for insurance companies.
Preserves and protects patients' rights to confidentiality.
Performs other job-related duties as required.
  

Requirements:

Associate's Degree and two years experience with third party billing in a medical office environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be proficient in the English language.
