Job Title: Patient Service Representative

Job Summary:
The Patient Service Representative is responsible for greeting patients and families, collecting and entering demographic and insurance information, and reconciling daily services. Additional duties include scheduling appointments, answering phones, obtaining insurance referrals and authorizations, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA guidelines. This role requires efficient check-in processes, accurate data entry into hospital systems, and handling payments and follow-up appointments. Other responsibilities include voicemail management, mail distribution, clerical tasks, and maintaining patient records and provider schedules.

Required Qualifications:
- Previous customer service experience
- Practical knowledge of computers
- High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:
- Three (3) years of related healthcare experience in registration, physician billing, medical records, and/or medical office settings
- Practical knowledge of computers

Additional Information:
- Compliance with HIPAA guidelines is mandatory
