The Patient Service Representative I is responsible for preparing patient charts, updating/entering patient info in the management system, verifying insurance, and notifying staff upon patient arrival. They answer multi-line phones, schedule appointments, handle billing, and provide efficient office support with excellent customer service.
Position requirements include knowledge of third-party payers and medical terminology (preferred), basic computer skills with NextGen and MS Office, strong communication skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Physical duties involve sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 20 pounds. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with 1-3 years healthcare experience preferred.
