    JOB SUMMARY

    This position will assist in enrolling qualified patients in various health programs, including Medi-Cal, HMOs, Medi-Medi, My Health LA (MHLA), Child Health and Disability Prevention Program (CHDP), Primary Care Physician (PCP), Covered CA, and Cal Kids.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide essential membership services to enrolled patients.
    • Recruit new patients, completing necessary paperwork for enrollments.
    • Support ongoing patient communications and follow-up.
    • Support the healthcare team to enhance customer service.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
    • Conduct outreach to patients by phone, in-person, or through community events to connect patients with appropriate healthcare services.
    • Track outreach metrics, prepare reports, and recommend improvements to increase patient participation and service utilization.
    • Assist with health screenings and patient education, within scope of practice and organizational policy.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

    • Knowledge of customer service best practices.
    • High level of professionalism, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of staffing support.
    • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining a necessary degree of confidentiality.
    • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining quality standards.
    • Ability to work in culturally and racially diverse populations and in lower socio-economic conditions.
    • Ability to pleasantly and effectively represent the organization.
    • Ability to conduct presentations, tabling at events, and speaking with individuals or groups in community settings.
