Summary
The Patient Safety Sitter...
- assists in keeping a patient safe when a patient is at risk of harming themselves by pulling lines, falling, wandering and other behaviors.
- is responsible for continuous monitoring of the patient closely at the bedside at all times and never leaves the patient alone.
- may intervene by assisting the patient to toilet, ambulate, reposition or prevent the patient from pulling on lines.
Schedule
Casual | As Needed | Flexible schedule | 8 hour shifts available weekdays, weekends and holidays | No set schedule
Must work at least two shifts per month. Additional shifts often available.
Pay
- Starting pay begins at $17.75 per hour and increases with experience.
- Pay range: $17.75 to 28.71 per hour
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Human services industry experience preferred.
- Ability to respond quickly to changing patient needs.
- Effective communication skills.
