We are seeking a Patient Responsibility Coordinator to support a healthcare funding team focused on delivering an exceptional patient experience. This role works directly with patients, families, and providers to explain insurance benefits and out-of-pocket costs-no collections involved.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate insurance coverage, benefits, and patient responsibility
- Support patients and clinicians with billing and benefit-related questions
- Provide clear guidance on financial options
- Document interactions in CRM systems (Salesforce)
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional healthcare teams
- Track data and support process improvements
Qualifications
- 2+ years of healthcare customer service
- Experience with medical insurance, benefits, or billing
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with CRM systems or data entry
- DME experience (preferred)
- Bilingual Spanish (preferred)
