Patient Responsibility Coordinator (Bilingual Spanish Required)

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8am to 4:30pm
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Patient Responsibility Coordinator who is fluent in both English and Spanish to support patients, families, and clinical staff throughout the medical funding process. This role involves explaining insurance benefits, out-of-pocket costs, and guiding clients toward financial solutions.
The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, healthcare or insurance knowledge, and the ability to interpret and explain complex information in a clear and compassionate way.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate insurance benefits and patient financial responsibility clearly to both English- and Spanish-speaking clients
- Assist patients, families, and clinicians with questions related to coverage and out-of-pocket costs
- Respond to inquiries via phone, email, chat, and other communication channels in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate documentation of all interactions in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
- Analyze benefit data and provide recommendations to improve coverage utilization
- Track and report on key performance metrics including productivity and customer satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and data privacy regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and enhance the customer experience
- Maintain accurate data records for auditing and process improvement

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred (Business, Communications, Healthcare, or related field)
- 2+ years of customer-facing experience
- Experience in healthcare, insurance, or medical billing preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce is a plus
