Department Summary:

Providing a compassionate, safe, and respectful environment by facilitating communication between patients, families, and staff; addressing and resolving concerns and grievances; and providing education on patient rights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving, tracking, responding to and facilitating resolution of patient/family questions, complaints and concerns.
  • Interpreting and advising on hospital policies and procedures.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary clinical and support teams
  • Provides assistance and consultation to hospital staff in resolving difficult situations.
  • 36 hours; 4 - 9hr shifts/week. On-site to start/orientation, then partially remote.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Social Work preferred.

Experience:

  • 5 years of healthcare experience; previous experience in Patient Relations preferred.
  • Bilingual skills strongly preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and analytical skills to resolve complex problems.

Licensure/ Certifications:

  • A current license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Social Worker preferred.

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
