POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for completing the patient registration process by patients collecting demographic information, determining appropriate fees and collection of payment.POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSEducation: High School graduate or equivalent.Experience:Two (2) years' experience in a healthcare setting or related field.Two (2) years' experience in customer service.Skills and Abilities which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position:Good computer skills including the use of word processing and e-mail software. A test will be given.Knowledge of Third-Party Reimbursement required.Ability to accurately register and interview clients.Ability to read and interpret materials.Ability to use initiative is detail oriented, and flexible.Good oral and written communication, customer service, organizational and mathematical skills.Ability to use a 10 key calculator and credit card machineCapable of making bank depositsResidency and Transportation Requirement: NoneLicense(s)/Certification(s) Required: NoneFUNCTIONS OF THE JOB Essential Functions:Interview patients to document necessary demographic informationReview appreciates policies and regulations such as HIPAA with the patientsReview appropriate policies and regulations such as HIPAA with the patients. Determine appropriate fees based on sliding fee scale.
