    At WakeMed, our Patient Registration Representatives create a welcoming first impression for every patient. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.

    What You'll Do

    • Greet patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals in a friendly, professional, and service-oriented manner.
    • Accurately register patients by entering demographic, insurance, and guarantor information into the electronic medical record system.
    • Verify insurance coverage and collect copays, deductibles, and other point-of-service payments.
    • Complete patient check-in and check-out processes while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
    • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments as needed.
    • Serve as a liaison between patients, providers, clinical staff, and the community to facilitate a positive patient experience.
    • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all organizational and regulatory requirements.
    • Provide exceptional customer service while addressing patient questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
    • Support front office operations to ensure smooth patient flow and an outstanding patient experience.

    Who We're Looking For

    • A customer-focused professional with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Experience working in a healthcare setting with responsibilities such as patient registration, check-in/check-out, scheduling, or front desk operations.
    • Knowledge of medical insurance verification and point-of-service collections.
    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately enter and maintain patient information.
    • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
    • A collaborative team player who demonstrates professionalism, compassion, and a commitment to service excellence.

    • Previous experience delivering high-quality customer service and creating positive experiences for patients and families.
