Description
JOB DUTIES:
Provide prompt and accurate service to promote high standards and quality
Collect deductibles, co-insurance, and non-covered charges as outlined by policy
Answer incoming calls and visits regarding patient accounts; explain financial policies to patients
Research account issues; correct and/or initiate correction of errors
Initiate outgoing telephone contact with patients for payments and payment arrangements
Assist with registration and medical records as necessary
Prepare standard registration/admission forms for patients or transfer-related tasks
Maintain confidentiality of all information according to HIPAA and company policy
The Patient Registration assumes other responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
S. Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent work experience in field, required
1 year experience in medical scheduling or medical office, preferred
