    A Patient Liaison/Medical Assistant processes patient information facilitating communication between clinicians and patients. Providescare to patients under the direction of a physician, or nurse practitioner. Obtains necessary data from patients to best allow clinicians to provide excellent clinical care. Facilitates communication between clinician and other clinically relevant members of the community while maintaining patient confidentiality. Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience High School diploma or equivalent Medical assistant training required. CMA, RMA, NCMA or CCMA certification preferred. Associates degree or higher in social work, counseling, psychology or a related field is strongly preferred. Minimum of one year of experience working in mental health or a primary care setting. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Professionalism Strong verbal and written communication skills. Effectively work well with people and have a very positive attitude. Flexibility; travel to and from clinic locations. Ability to manage front desk operations Advanced Microsoft Word skills; ability to navigate electronic medical records systems. Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Excellent decision making and problem- solving skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast -paced environment. Self-motivated to learn new concepts and participate in team discussions in a positive way. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and clinical practices. Physical and Mental Requirements Occasionally exerts up to 10 pounds force to lift, carry, pull or push objects. Stands, sits, walks, and converses most of the day.
