Job Summary

Processes of scheduling, pre-registration, insurance verification. A thorough understanding of the health care revenue cycle, with excellent interpersonal skills, are necessary to achieve the positions over all objectives.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations at a level normally acquired through completion of high school education.
  • Demonstrates typing speed at 35-wpm necessary, accuracy is essential.
  • Familiarity with personal computers and prior registration experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skill, both verbal
  • and written.
  • Completion of medical terminology course is preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Normal office or patient care environment with little exposure to noise, dusts, temperature and the like.
  • Close attention to detail 90% of time
  • Rarely (less than 6% of time) exposed to adverse conditions
